Sager NP8690 Notebook Review

Sager launched the gaming notebook, the Sager NP8690, it’s a high class gaming laptop contains all the features that a good gaming notebook should have.

Sager NP8690 is a quad core supporting laptop having Intel® Core™ i7 Quad Processor, specifically mentioning, i7-720QM, i7-820QM and i7-920XM model are available in the Sager NP8690 with the L3 cache of 6 Mb, 8Mb and 8Mb respectively for each of the model.


Since the Sager NP8690 is a gaming notebook that’s why it has a 15.6” LED Backlit Super Clear Glossy Widescreen displays. With a Full HD 1920×1080 or HD+ 1600×900 resolution with an aspect ratio of 16:9. And for the same gaming reason a very high quality nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M card is used having a 1 GB graphical memory of GDDR3 technology. To comply with the so high graphical quality and gaming performance the notebook has a physical memory of 2 GB DDR3 technology with an FSB of 1333 MHz.

Hard disk of the notebook ranges from 160 to 500 GB at a high RPM of 7200 to provide a non stop gaming performance. According to the latest trend in the storage technology the notebook has a Blue Ray drive to read from the Blue Ray disks. The laptop has a built in 2 Mega pixels camera, that can be used a simple camera or a web cam for video chat etc.

And for the other stuffs like connectivity and I/O interfaces the Sager NP8690 is second to none and carry almost all the ports and connectivity options that a good laptop should have like Ethernet , wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, modem and card reader etc. This notebook also has a biometric fingerprint tool for security purposes to avoid any unauthorized access to the system.

Since the Laptop carries so much qualities and features the notebook is little bit expensive too. It is available at almost seventeen hundred USD. But the price of the laptop can be justified according to the rich features of the laptop.
