Apple releases iPhone OS 4 beta 3 with lock, iPod widget features

Apple has arrived with 3rd beta release for their future upcoming iPhone OS 4. Apple new beta release is for the registered developer.  Beta 3 was just pulled back by Apple not more than a day to fix up installation related problem. Now Beta 3 is back and forwarded to the registered developers to install it and give their comments about the working of the Beta 3 release. The latest iPhone OS 4 Beta 3 Firmware supports all the Apple supporting Apple Phones like iPhone 3GS and the 2nd and 3rd generation iPod touch. New beta release has fixed bugs and issues, which were not fixed in the initial releases.

Apple iPhone OS 4 Beta 3 update is launched with in just two weeks of time period after the release of Beta 2. Last year both releases (iPhone OS 3 and 3.2 release for iPad) before publically released went through five beta cycles.  Apple iPhone OS 4 is expected to be launched publically for iPhone and iPod touch users in summers this year 2010, similarly iPad release will be introduced by Apple phones in the last quarter of this year 2010.

OS 4 beta 3 build is more stable and effective than the previous beta releases.  Camera features and screen shot functionality are working in this beta release.  In this new beta release, applications running in the multitasking drawer can easily be closed through Red Cross button and apps can uninstalled with one touch.  For iPod music playback a new widget controller has been introduced in this beta release with an orientation lock features that’s runs same as the physical switch on iPad. Lock app for locking the home screen only support iPod in portrait direction. On the other hand, lock app is functional in both landscape and portrait directions in Apple iPad phone.
