Nokia phones has launched ever first Maemo OS based smartphone. Initially it was just in use with the official tablet devices.  Nokia mobile company tested all their Nokia Phones in group test, a clever trick used by Nokia. Maemo OS browser is developed on Mozilla Code base. Browser supports Flash 9.4 and also supports running embedded You Tube videos.  Nokia Phone is equipped with 3.5 inch touch screen supported with high resolution of 800 X 480. One can easily creates and add shortcuts and widgets through scrolling desktop. High resolution will helps the users to clearly view and read the text from the web.

Nokia introduced 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.  Upto 848 X 480 at 25fps video can be capture through video mode and with support of dual LED flash feature enables you to capture high quality images.  Wi-Fi, HSDPA and Bluetooth features are embed in the phone for data connectivity. N900 Nokia is featured with FM radio for wireless music playback along with 3.5mm music jack available for headphones. N900 supports upto 32GB of space for data storage and having sliding layout with QWERTY keyboard that comes out under the screen.  N900 browser is very fast and reliable.  Over all Nokia N900 comes with stylish looks, with solid keys placed upfront of the phone.

RIM’s upcoming N900 with Maemo OS need lots of improvement in Maemo Apps required to compete with BlackBerry Bold 9700 and iPhone 3GS in group test. Nokia use resistive touchscreen instead of capacitive touchscreen.  Operating system running in Nokia 900 is not fully free from technical problems as Maemo OS is facing minor issues in some of apps like Ovi Maps etc. Nokia needs to improve the battery related issues as phone battery life is very less and backup time is less then 36 hours.
