Nokia E5-00 launched in India

Nokia today announced the launch of the Nokia E5-00 phone in India. The latest in the E-series- Nokia E5-00 is based on the Symbian S60 3rd edition platform and promises to exceed the success of its precursor Nokia E63 and Nokia E72.

The Nokia E5-00 has a 2.4-inch (320×240) transmissive LCD screen with 256K colors. The phone has a QWERTY keyboard, 5MP camera with complete focus and LED flash. The Nokia E5-00 has a 600MHz ARM 11 processor and flexible microSDHC memory of up to 32GB. Further the Nokia E5-00 phone has integrated Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, incorporated GPS, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity plus a microUSB slot and 3.5mm audio jack.

Nokia E5-00 has also incorporated a blend of social networking and amusement features. It lets Facebook users to view updates and allows users to view emails on several email accounts, including renowned mail services such as Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, and Windows Live Hotmail. Nokia’s Ovi Store allows you to download a host of functions, Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes traveler are also carried by the Nokia E5-00. Other features include increased Battery time of up to 18 hours and 30 minutes.
