Skype to drop Windows Phone 7, focus on iPhone, Symbian, and Android

Skype has stopped their support for the latest Microsoft mobile phone that is running on Microsoft windows 7 OS.  This act of Skype will badly affect the Microsoft in the mobile phones market all over the world. Skype phones will concentrate to design the software more compatible and easy to run on the Apple iPhone 4G and Google Android mobiles, this news was authenticated by Asia Pacific VP for Skype during the event in Australia.

VOIP software giant confirmed that Skype is not interested any more in developing compatible version of its popular VOIP Software for Microsoft upcoming Windows Phone 7. One of the reasons is poor user’s experience. Skype has taken this decision because of the Microsoft windows phone 7 OS policies , that doesn’t support properly multitasking features and also having conflicts with the features of  Microsoft’s XNA and Silverlight. On the other side, Apple iPhone 4.0, Android and Symbian base OS platforms supports the feature of VOIP.  Where Windows 7 OS platform not only suspend the VOIP software also on the same time disconnect the call in case of use switches away.

The absence of the Skype app from the Microsoft 7 phone really damage the sales graph of the mobile device as compare to its every other competitor  in the market.  This is the biggest set back for the Windows Phone 7.  Large numbers of Skype users are waiting for Windows Mobile to come but after this news they have to wait and let see what will happen in future.
