Apple iPhone 5 AN “E-WALLET”

Apple does it big and it always does it in wonderful way like no others. The iPod, iPhone and iPad high tech manufacturer is playing beyond anybody`s imagination for it upcoming iPhone 5. It seems Apple will make its latest iPhone into an ultimate gadget with astonishing specs and features to do almost anything and everything with one flick you wrist.  Apple is now a news-entity, from making headlines for its Apple iPhone 4 controversies on one hand and making  Apple to the top 5 mobile vendors of the world on the other. Apple also took over the Apple tablet market like an undefeated king after having 95% of the global tablet sales for 3rd quarter of 2010 in its pocket. Now comes with the rumours that NFC (Near field communication technology) is being incorporated into Apple iPhone 5.

NFC is a short-range wireless connection technology that would turn the iPhone into an electronic wallet or security passkey. Apple iPhone 5, if we suppose the rumours turn out to be true, will carry the NFC chip in it and it will turn the Apple iPhone 5 in to an electronic wallet and will also allow Mac users to have exactly the same computing experience on any machine as their own. The chip will turn the iPhone in to an “e-wallet” by allowing the iPhone users to wave their iPhone over a contact pad to pay for anything they shop in the participating retailers. And that not all! Sources also claim that Apple is exploring ways of using this NFC technology to enable users to store their personal Mac computer settings on their iPhones and then transfer those settings to another Mac, giving them an experience like they are using their own personal Mac.

A source, who asked to remain anonymous, said that “The Mac authenticates with the iPhone, which contains a lot of the information the computer needs, such as bookmarks, passwords and other data. The system would essentially turn any Apple computer into your own — like you’re actually working on your own computer. Same settings, look, bookmarks, preferences. It would all be invisible. Your iPhone would be all you needed to unlock your Mac.”

“Address book would show their contacts, and the user would have full access to their information in the same manner they would if they were working from home. This same behavior extends to even showing the same desktop picture, mouse and keyboard settings, and would eventually extend to software licenses and passwords for websites such as Facebook.”

“When a person walks away with their iPhone and away from the communication link with the Mac, the original settings of the Mac would be restored. All communications and storage of passwords stays on the user’s iPhone, leaving nothing stored on the computer.”

“This functionality is extended to access a user’s home folder, which will be stored and accessed either through storage on MobileMe or by using the Back to My Mac feature to connect to the user’s home folder.”

Will Apple be able to achieve this or is it going be a dead end?  Finger crossed!
