DELL STREAK, ANDROID 2.2 FROYO UPDATE BY THE END OF 2010

Dell streak, the amazing new Android-based tablet device by Dell, is the first Android tablet worth taking seriously. Considered as the strongest competitor for the Apple iPad tablet computer, some prefer Dell Streak as a smartphone due it pocket-size design and phone capabilities.

Dell streak owners who have been anxiously waiting for Android 2.2 Froyo update are in luck as Dell has again confirmed that the update to Froyo 2.2 OS  update will be available much sooner than the end of this year, as anymore updates to Android 2.1 Eclair are coming to an end. This latest development is a real catch for those who did not want the unofficial Froyo ROM.

If you need a quick refresh of Dell Streak tablet specs, the Dell Streak offers a 5-inch WVGA display, 5 MP camera, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 16GB internal memory, GPS and Wi-Fi.  It’s available for $299 with a two-year AT&T contract and $549 without contract.
