AirMediaPlayer Brings AirPlay Video Streaming From iPhone, iPad to Windows PCs

A week ago Erica Sadun discovered a way to stream media from any iOS device to a Mac, and today a developer who name is Apostolos Georgiadis releases a windows version of AirPlayer and calls it  AirMediaPlayer. To AirPlay media from an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch to your PC you need to install AirMediaPlayer on a computer running on Windows Vista, XP or 7 with  iTunes (to enable Bonjour service), Quicktime and Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 SP1 installed.

AirMediaPlayer for Windows is a Windows-based AirPlay Media Player, which allows your iOS device to stream media to your PC.

Following is the list of requirements you would need to run it.

  • A Windows XP, Vista or 7 PC with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed.
  • Bonjour for Windows (Included with iTunes, or you can download the Bonjour Print Services for Windows free from Apple)
  • QuickTime for Windows
  • iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 4.2.1
