How to Jailbreak iOS version 8.1.2 using TaiG Guide

The jailbreak for iOS 8.1.2 has been released by TaiG. A thorough step by step guide has been prepared for you in order to jailbreak any Apple device currently operating iOS 8.1.2.

The jailbreak released by TaiG supports following devices:

  • iPhone 6 Plus
  • iPhone 6
  • iPhone 5s, 5c
  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 4s
  • iPad Air 2, iPad Air 1,
  • iPad touch 5

In order to ensure a safe jailbreak, please confirm that you have backed up your important data, as this step is critically important. In addition, you need to install iOS version 8.1.2 through iTunes, regardless the fact that you have already updated to iOS 8.1.2 over the air (OTA). You also need to turn off any privacy protections including passcode and Touch ID. In order to disable them, use the following path.

Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode > Turn Passcode Off

  • Once the file is downloaded, connect your Apple device (iPhone, iPad or iTouch) with your desktop/laptop through USB connection
  • Double click on the downloaded file, which will bring up “TaiG Jailbreak Tools v1.2.0” on screen. You can unselect ‘3K Assistant’ option and click on the green colored “Start” button
  • TaiG will initiate the jailbreak on your device. Please ensure not to disconnect your Apple device (iPhone, iPad or iTouch) from your computer. Once the jailbreak is finished, your device will restart automatically and you can check out the updated version of Cydia on your homescreen.

  • Uncheck any settings related to privacy protection including Passcode and Touch ID. You also need to turn off “Find My Phone” feature.

Let the Jailbreak BEGIN!

  • Do not worry about the language, simply uncheck the PP checkbox at the bottom left side of the bluescreen which will pop up after the download is complete.
  • Once the box is unchecked, click large jailbreak icon in the center. The tool will guide you to another page, where you need to click on the “button on the right” NOT “on the left”, in order to proceed further.
  • The jailbreak will initiate as soon as you click the button on the right. It’s a fairly quick process; you may have to wait for 1 to 2 minutes. Once the jailbreak is completed, the device will reboot. The Cydia icon can be checked out at the home screen of your Apple device.
