Easiest way to install Android On iPhone 2G/3G

If you have iPhone 2G or 3G then you know that there is way to install on your device but you need to connect your device to computer to complete the process. Although not all the stuff is fully functional with Android on your iPhone but still it gives most of the basic functionalities. But what if you don’t want to use computer to install Android on your iPhone 2G or 3G.Well you can install Android 2.2.1 easily using Bootlace 2.1 without the need to connect with your computer with your jailbroken iPhone 2G or 3G.

Before starting to do anything with your device check that you device has one of these OS installed in it and note that GM candidates does not count in that.

If you don’t meet the above requirements then it’s better not to do this. So , here are the step to install Android 2.2.1 on your iPhone 2G or 3G.

Step 1: We assume that your iPhone 3G/2G is jailbroken it then then use this link to Jailbreak your iPhone 2G and use this link to Jailbreak iPhone 3G. When you’re done, run Cydia from your iPhone’s springboard, and add “http://repo.neonkoala.co.uk/” (without quotes) as repository. Tap “Add Source”, and then you need to install “Bootlace” as shown in the screenshots below.

Step 2: You will see the “Bootlace” icon in your springboard now, fire it up!

Step 3: Once you’re into “Bootlace”, install “OpeniBoot”.

Step 4: Now install “iDroid”.

Step 5: Once “iDroid” has finished installing, you’re all done! Just Open “QuickBoot” and tap on the Android mascot and it will restart your iPhone and take you into Android OS.

You  can again check for Android updates by again repeating step 4 and it is recommended that you perform these steps over WiFi.
