It has been found the Playstation Phone which is soon to be launched by Sony will be called “Xperia Play”, well, not only this the latest is that the phone will be announced in Feb 2011 and will be available from April 2011.
As seen in the leaked Photos in October, Playstation Phone has controls separately for two people and has a gaming gadget touch to it.
As expected the technical details and specifications are pretty good, the phone sports :
- 1GHz Q
ualcomm CPU
- 512 MB of RAM
- 1GB ROM
- microSD card slot (expandable upto 32GB)
- The touchscreen is expected to be somewhere between 3.7″ and 4.1″ .
- Android v2.3 Ginger bread
Whats New is a embedded touch pad for greater gaming experience and a special accelerometer sensor and proximity sensors for better gaming.
The OS is Android for sure, most likely Android v2.3 Gingerbread but then again it would get instant update to the newer Google OS whenever its launched.
As PSP has been a sensation in Far east, this phone is also expected to give a niche to Sony Ericsson over Cell Phone Gaming devices.
