Finding your next car or selling your current one potentially just got significantly easier with the release of a new free app. The Carsales.com.au app comes from Australia’s leading automotive classified website and it promises to search through more than 200,000 cars on sale in the country so that you can find the perfect one for you.UntitledThe Carsales app is available on Android and iOS devices, including iPhone and iPad and is free from both Google Play and the App store.

With a distinctive, slick, black and blue design, the app allows you to search for new and used cars throughout Australia. You can be as specific or as vague as you want in your search, depending on how clear an idea you have of what you’re looking for.

During your search, you can save any cars that interest you to your favourites list. From here they can be shared to Facebook so that you can get a second opinion from your friends or you can let a friend know if you’ve spotted a car they may be interested in. Vehicles themselves are described in detail with a range of images also provided. You can even add your own notes, images, videos and voice recordings to your favourites for future reference.

If you’re thinking of selling your car, there is an option in the app to tap in a few details and get a rough estimate on the value of your vehicle, which might help you with negotiations. Meanwhile, the Showroom section of the app allows you to build and price your ideal car.

As is common on such apps, there is also a news and reviews section that keeps you up to date with the wider automotive world, which is great when you’re on the move.

User reviews for the app have so far been positive, particularly after an early update, and it is undoubtedly handy if you are in the market to buy or sell a car. It’s free, comprehensive and doesn’t take up a huge amount of space on your device. Definitely worth a look.
